Thank you for taking the time to read this material and consider being part of something so much bigger than any one of us individually. Roadside Bar & Gril is very excited about partnering with Wounded Warrior Project Nashville and hope that you will join us in our endeavors!

Roadside Bar & Grill opened on November 12, 2011, as a place for a few guys who like to ride bikes, to sit down, eat, drink, and grow friendships. After 13 years this November, several things about the bar have changed, but the original idea still is at the core of everything that we do. We like to say that our bar is the place where strangers become friends, and friends become family.

Each year on the Saturday nearest our anniversary, we have done a poker run ride for fun, and a time to grow friendships. Last year, 2023, that Saturday fell on Veterans Day. We decided to put something together to give back to everyone that allowed us all the freedoms that we all enjoy.

We called in guys & gals from Wounded Warrior Project Nashville, and they informed us of the things their organization is doing, along with their Mission: "To Honor and Empower Wounded Warriors." We then decided to partner for an event to raise money for all the people who are still here and who answered the call, even when we didn't ask.

We started small, with 2 great sponsors, Pinnacle Roofs Plus, and Mal-Promo, who supplied all of our promotional shirts so that we could sell them with 100% of the money going to WWP.

Each ride fee of $20 went to WWP, along with proceeds from an auction of donated items. Additionally, we utilized an online link for giving. Our goal of $5,000 was far exceeded when all was said and done! Along with a donation from Roadside, we contributed $12,243 to WWP.

We had a total of 56 bikes participate in the ride. On a more personal note, I am 55 years old, and this day was one of the proudest moments of my life, because I was able to see what we can do when we put everything aside, and focus on the people who have given so much for all of us!

This year, our event wil be held on November 9th, 2024, with the ride starting at 11am, and returning to Roadside at 3pm. Music wil begin with Phoenix Rising at 4pm and our live auction wil be held at 5pm. We have several sponsorship packages available this year, and hopefully one that fits your needs. We are counting on your ability to possibly donate something for our auction.

Sincerely,

Wilton Belk, GM, Roadside Bar & Grill
