Hello, my name is Wilton Belk, General Manager of Roadside Bar & Grill, speaking on behalf of Craig Haynes, Jere “Omar” Maggart, our owners, and the entire Roadside staff.

This year, on November 12, 2023, we will celebrate our 12th  anniversary of operations.  In past years on our anniversary date, we have always had a Poker Run celebration ride and party on the Saturday closest to our anniversary date, and not on the same date as the Boswell’s Toy Run ride, as we didn’t want to stand in the way on an awesome ride, with an awesome purpose.  We will continue to celebrate our anniversary on the Saturday that is not on the Toy Run date.

This year, and moving forward as our date is the day after Veteran’s Day, we have now partnered with Wounded Warrior Project to celebrate our anniversary, and provide a donation to a fantastic charity who does amazing work for people who have made immeasurable sacrifices for us, even when we didn’t ask it of them.  This year our Charity Ride will be on Veteran’s Day, November 11th, 2023, with registration at 10 am, and KSU at 11, and returning to Roadside at 3 pm.  Billy Hentz will be in charge of the route and stops, based on our weather conditions that day.  Music by Wicked Chowdaw will begin at 4 pm along with our party, and a live auction at 5 pm with all proceeds going to WWP.  We will have several representatives and recipients from WWP at our location all day, they are amazing people.

We will have shirts made for the ride, noting the support of the WWP, that are being provided by our two sponsors, Pinnacle Roofs Plus, and Mal-Promo.  This allow’s 100% of the money from shirt sales to go to WWP, along with the Ride fee of $20 per bike, and the live auction proceeds.

If you, or someone you know, would like to donate an item for the live auction, please contact Amy Bentley at the bar.

We owe our 12 years of operations to our amazing guests who all refer to Roadside as “my bar”, as well as our passionate staff who work hard each day to make you feel at home when you are with us.  We will always put our anniversary date on our artwork for the shirts, but it is now secondary to the cause we have chosen to support.

We look forward to seeing everyone who can support our cause on 11/11/23.  If you are unable to make it on that day, and would still like to make a donation, this can be done on our Wounded Warrior Project event page at Roadside's Wounded Warrior Project Ride.
