Welcome to our memorial page in partnership with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). Your memorial gift will support life-changing programs that empower, employ, and engage America’s injured veterans. Warriors and their families will never pay a penny for these services. Dr. Nelson was a veteran, a father, a principal, and ultimately a great man. We miss him every day. We are collecting donations for Wounded Warrior to honor him and give back to families like his.

In 2019, Dr. Nelson unfortunately passed away after complications from donating bone marrow to save a 14 year-old boys life. Dr. Nelson served both our country and our school, enlisting in the Army Reserve at just 19 years old. He was an activist for equal rights, spearheading numerous discussions about race in the WHS community. Dr. Nelson left a lasting impact on our WHS community and we are proud to be raising money in his honor. Thank you for your support and donations!
