I’ve started a fundraiser to raise money for Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) and was wondering if you would consider making a donation?
Why are we raising money for The Wounded Warrior Project with this ride?
We have been blessed in life and want to do something to support the brave men and women who literally commit their lives to the defense of their fellow citizens and country.
Since 1976, I have thought of riding my bicycle across the USA. After retiring from full-time work a few years ago, I was able to ride across the southern USA in 2019 and I wished later that I had dedicated the effort to a worthy cause.
Now, I have the chance to do a cross country ride again. This time with my daughter riding along and Susan driving a motorhome, and we want to dedicate the effort to The Wounded Warrior Project. This is personal as we have a lot of connections to the military. Our son, Tom, spent years as an Army Ranger. Fortunately, he never got hurt but some of his buddies were not as fortunate. Also, Liz’s husband Larry served 14 years in Venezuelan Marines. In addition to Tom and Larry, we have a nephew serving in the Air Force and our fathers, my mother and several other relatives served in the Armed Forces.
Your gift will support life-changing programs that empower, employ, and engage America’s injured veterans. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, warriors and their families will never pay a penny for these services.
