We are a theater company out of San Francisco called Word for Word, and we are currently staging an story by the author called George Saunders called Home. The play tells the story of Mikey, a war veteran returning to a home that is increasingly cruel and absurd—and his quest for understanding and compassion. George Saunders’ subtle yet absurdist humor brings a unique slant to otherwise dark topics.
For the Saturday, April 15, 8pm performance we are being joined by Nick Morrison from the Wounded Warrior Project as our post show speaker. We hope to raise awareness and some funds, both onsite at the theater during Nick's appearance and indeed throughout the run (it goes until April 29).
