In Memory of Samuel Eugene Donahue and the D-Day 101st Airborne Warriors

Welcome to our memorial page in partnership with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). Your memorial gift will support life-changing programs that empower, employ, and engage America’s injured veterans. Warriors and their families will never pay a penny for these services.

My late uncle Samuel Eugene Donahue was a member of the 101st Airborne's "Screaming Eagles." He made the jump into France at Normandy on D-Day +1 (June 7,1944 at Utah Beach.) I believe he was a member of "I" Company, and also fought as one of the "Battered Bastards of Bastogne." He survived the war but died at the young age of 44 years old.

I want this fund raiser to be a tribute to my uncle, and to all those that fought and died in Normandy, and Bastogne. I wish the funds to go to The Wounded Warrior Project in his and their names.

I too am an Army Veteran, having served at the height of the cold war in Germany. I am currently 81 years old, and I plan to do a parachute jump in honor of and in my uncle's memory on June 7, 2023.
