On Saturday, April 25, 2020 , from 5 pm till 8 pm; KYSC and LAYCC will be hosting our 8th annual Wounded Warrior Project (WWP)  and Cherokee County Homeless Veterans (CCHVP) Fund Raiser at the marina.  We will also be blessing the fleet.

To register a boat for the fund raiser, a donation of at least $50 needs to be made to the WWP (all boat registration money goes to the WWP and it is not part of the poker pot money). As proof of your boat being registered bring your donation receipt from the WWP website to the registration table at the KYSC Boat House at 5 PM.  To better plan the logistics for this event, please register your boat via this website (click here to register your boat) by noon on Friday April 24th, 2020.  Note: only registered boats can take poker players to card locations on the lake.

To build a big cash pot, each player pays at least $10.  Players will pickup one card at the start and one card at the finish. The other three cards will be dealt at locations around the lake. These cards can be pickup on the lake between 5:30 and 7:00 PM.  Cards will be individually marked to prevent swapping of cards between players during the regatta.

Players can purchase two extra cards just before the final play for at least $5/each from the dealer. The cash pot will be split; half to the highest hand and half to the Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program. To better plan the logistics for this event, please sign up to play poker via this website (click here to play poker) by noon on Friday April 24th, 2020.

Food and Drinks (cokes, beer, and wine) will be available for purchase. A band will be present to entertain us during the event.  At 7:30 PM, there will be a 15 minute tournament award and veteran recognition ceremony.  All Lake Arrowhead Veterans are invited to attend to be recognized.

In the last seven years, participants have raised more than $23,000 for the WWP at these fund raising  events.
