Although certain states may differ regarding what Riding Equipment is required for cycling, all event participants must wear helmets and proper foot gear.


Schedule

7:00 am: Community ride registration and packet pick-up begins

9:00 am: Opening Ceremony
We recommend arriving prior to the Opening Ceremony as the ride begins immediately following. A delayed arrival can result in missed participation.

9:20 am: Community ride begins

First Water Stop: Lindenhurst Middle School, 350 S. Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst, NY 11757

Second Water Stop: St. John the Baptist Diocesan HS, 1170 Montauk Hwy., West Islip, NY 11795

The warriors will lead the first 18 miles, then at the water stop at St. John's High School — the public will pass and be on traffic-free roads over the Robert Moses Bridge.

12:30 pm: Ride Ends, Overlook Beach. Shuttle transportation for return to Babylon Town Hall will be available until 3:00 pm.

Post-ride: BBQ lunch at Overlook Beach. Transportation will be available via shuttle bus back to Babylon Town Hall. Bicycles will be transported separately; wristbands will be supplied at packet pick-up on Thursday or for pick-up on the day of the event at the Town Hall registration tent.

Please note that there will not be any alcohol served at the post-ride lunch.


Registration

Registration Fees: April – June 30: $50 adult / $20 child

July 1 – Event Day: $75 adult / $35 child


Packet Pickup

Bibs and earned fundraising rewards can be picked up prior to the event at our packet pick-up location. You may pick up for your team or friend if you have their name.

Bibs and earned fundraising rewards can also be picked up on event day at our check-in tent beginning at 7:00 am on Friday, July 19, at Babylon Town Hall.


Parking

Parking is available at Babylon Town Hall starting at 7:00 am on Friday, July 19. Transportation post-ride will be available until 3:00 pm via shuttle from Overlook Beach.

You may park at Overlook Beach the evening of July 18 or early morning of July 19. You will need to park near the basketball courts in order to avoid parking in the post-event area and risk your vehicle being towed.

If you choose to park overnight at Overlook Beach, you must leave a visible note on the dashboard indicating your participation in Soldier Ride NY the following day. Please note that you will be parking your vehicle overnight in a public lot at your own risk.
