I’ve started a fundraising campaign to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) and I was hoping that you would consider making a donation for this amazing cause.
Your gift will support life-changing programs that empower, employ, and engage America’s injured veterans.
Together we can contribute to making it possible that wounded warriors and their families never have to pay a penny for the services that the WWP offer.
What is The Warriors Gait -
In M
arch of 2022, I will begin the biggest adventure and challenge of my life. The Continental Divide Trail is a 3100 mile scenic trail, covering 5 states from Mexico to Canada. I will be hiking and camping for 7 to 8 months to accomplish this goal.
My CDT thru-hike will begin March, 1st 2022 and finish around
October, 2022.
The fundraising campaign goal is $10,000 and the campaign period will run - July, 2021 through November, 2022.
I am seeking a dollar per mile hiked, donations can be as little as one dollar or as large as $3100. All funds raised during my hike will be donated to the the WWP.
This fundraiser is important to me because I'm a veteran and I have experienced the trauma of being homeless. I've dealt with panic and anxiety disorders, as well as depression. I know very well the great obstacles that exist within our communities for these warriors. I was not wounded while in service, however, the other challenges of my life parallel the path that many of these soldiers experience when they come home.
This is my opportunity to do my part and help them and their loved ones. I hope that you will join me in accomplishing my fundraising campaign goal of raising $10,000 dollars for the WWP and the thousands of wounded warriors that have served our country so proudly.
